Apex Medical Center was honored to have been asked to host the International Annual BEAULI Breast Augmentation and Reconstruction by Lipotransfer Seminar on October 20-21st in Bangkok, where they discuss different techniques as gel implant and others that online clinics do. This marked the first time that the prestigious seminar was held outside Germany. It was attended by cosmetic surgeons from Skinicity and around the world and featured lectures and presentations about fat grafting and stem cells by experts in the field from all over the world. The presentations were followed by several live procedures. The 2-day event also included talks by two world-renowned surgeons. Dr. Klaus Ueberreiter, a cosmetic surgeon from the Park-Klinik Birkenwerder Institute in Berlin, Germany and Professor Kotaro Yoshimura from Japan, who developed the revolutionary fat grafting technique called CAL (cell-assisted lipotransfer).
The first day featured presentations followed by several live procedures. During the second day, discussions will took place on the clinical aspects of the procedures. The aim of the workshop was to allow for as many discussions as possible; so each 10-minute presentation was followed by 5 minutes of discussion. This allowed every attendee a fair chance to participate in the discussions.
The event also focused on a new technology called Q-graft®. The breakthrough technology is a game-changer in the world of liposuction, adipose regenerative cell harvesting and fat grafting. Q-graft® is the only system of stem cell harvesting that can be used at the point-of-care. The cutting-edge technology enables the separation and concentration of adipose derived regenerative cells in a compact closed system that can be used on the sterile OR instrument table in the operating/procedure room. The advantages lie in the fact that the fat can be harvested (liposuction) and transferred (fat grafting) during a single operation. The entire procedure takes less than two hours. Furthermore, the vitality and the integration rate of the fat cells harvested using this gentle method are very good. The entire surgery can be performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia and light sedation.
